Why We Started The Venting Hour Podcast
The idea for The Venting Hour came from a place of honesty, a place where frustrations about the public school system could finally be spoken out loud. Too often, the challenges teachers, parents, and students face are swept under the rug. Kids show up to classrooms without the resources they need. Teachers carry the weight of being educators, counselors, and sometimes even parents, but without the proper support. Parents feel overwhelmed, wanting to help their children, but not always knowing where to turn.
We realized these are not isolated problems. They are community problems. And if nobody was going to create space for these conversations, then we would. That’s how The Venting Hour was born.
It’s not just about "venting," it’s about understanding, connecting, and finding solutions. We talk about how to better support our teachers, how to improve youth behavior by giving them healthier outlets and stronger programs, and how to organize events that bring real change to our neighborhoods.
At its core, The Venting Hour is about building bridges: between schools and families, between youth and mentors, between frustration and action. We believe that when the community comes together, solutions rise up. And that’s why we press record because every voice matters, and every conversation can spark the change we all need.
